One of the most rewarding parts of creating a children’s book is watching a blank page slowly transform into a living, breathing world.

Today, I wanted to pull back the curtain and share a little bit of that magic with you. My illustrator, Kei Creative, recently sent over this incredible timelapse of one of the book pages coming to life, and I couldn’t wait to show you.

Seeing the characters leap off the screen like this still blows me away. Every single line, choice of color, and tiny detail is carefully mapped out to ensure the bilingual story flows beautifully and captures a child’s imagination. We’ve been working hard to make sure everything, from the text to the interactive activity pages, is absolutely perfect.

Now that the formatting is wrapped up and the files are being prepped for the official system upload, seeing visual milestones like this makes it all feel incredibly real.
